Terms & Conditions
1. WHO CAN USE MAQSAF
Maqsaf is for parents and guardians aged 18 or over whose children attend a school that uses Maqsaf. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your login details private.
2. YOUR CHILDREN'S DETAILS
You confirm that you are the parent or guardian of each child you add, and that the details you enter — including school, class and any allergies — are accurate and kept up to date. A child must be approved by their school before meals can be ordered.
3. ORDERING MEALS
Orders are placed in advance for a chosen meal date and can only be placed or cancelled before that school's cut-off time. After the cut-off the order is final: the kitchen has already been told what to prepare. Menus, prices and availability are set by each school and its provider and may change.
4. POINTS WALLET
Meals are paid for with points held in your wallet. Points are prepaid credit for meals at your school, valued at 1 point = 1 KWD. Points are not money, cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for cash, and can only be used to order meals through Maqsaf.
5. PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
Top-ups are processed by Tap Payments by card, KNET, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Where an order is cancelled before the cut-off, or a school or provider cancels it, the points are returned to your wallet.
You may also ask us to refund an unused points balance to your original payment method at any time, by writing to info@maqsaf.net from the mobile number registered on the account. We will process an approved request within fourteen working days.
6. COLLECTING MEALS
Each child collects using their Maqsaf QR badge at their school canteen. Each order can be collected once. Keep the badge safe; tell the school if it is lost so a new one can be issued. Meals not collected on the day cannot be carried over or refunded unless your school decides otherwise.
7. ALLERGIES AND FOOD SAFETY
Allergy information you enter is passed to the school and the provider preparing the meal. Meals are prepared by third-party food providers, not by us, and may be made in kitchens that handle other ingredients. We cannot guarantee that a meal is free from any particular allergen. Always check with the school or provider if your child has a severe allergy.
8. ACCEPTABLE USE
Do not misuse the app, attempt to access other families' information, interfere with its operation, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
9. AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep Maqsaf available at all times but may need to interrupt it for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. Ordering also depends on each school's participation, menus and cut-off times.
10. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
We provide the platform that connects parents, schools and food providers. The preparation, quality and safety of the food is the responsibility of the provider, and enrolment and collection at the canteen are the responsibility of the school. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the value of the order concerned.
11. CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT
You can delete your account in the app at any time. Please use or claim any remaining points first: once you delete the account yourself, the deletion is permanent and a remaining balance cannot be recovered afterwards.
If we close, suspend or delete your account, or if Maqsaf stops operating at your school or is discontinued altogether, we will refund any unused points balance to your original payment method. You do not need to ask — we will contact you and arrange it.
To request a refund or ask about a balance at any time, contact us at info@maqsaf.net.
12. CHANGES AND GOVERNING LAW
We may update these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and the courts of Kuwait have jurisdiction.
